Yes, many of our bookings are from parents whose child cannot attend daycare or school due to one of the following common childhood illnesses:

  • Hand, Foot & Mouth (HFM)
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Chickenpox
  • Fifth disease
  • Tonsillitis
  • Fever
Anyone in the household who is unwell, must obtain a Covid-19 PCR Test. Booking requests will be accepted upon receipt of negative PCR test results. Please refer to our COVID-19 Safety Plan.

Yes, all Mayday Mummy vehicles have new/clean and accident free forward/rear facing car seat (for newborn to 4 years) and a booster seat is available for older children.

All our child restraints meet Australian Safety Standard AS1754.

Yes, you will need to make appropriate arrangements with the Pre-school to give consent for the Mayday Mummy Carer to collect your child.

The Mayday Mummy Information / Consent form would also need to be completed as part of the booking.

As directed by NSW Health, anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms, must obtain a Covid-19 Test. Booking requests will be accepted upon receipt of negative test results. Please refer to our COVID-19 Safety Plan.

Yes, we have families who know in advance they need our help.

For example:

  • work conference
  • spouse away for business
  • when a family member needs to go into hospital for day surgery or medical test.

Yes, depending on the Carer’s availability, bookings can be made with as little as 24 hours notice.

Rates for bookings of this nature will be quoted on an individual basis.

We are experienced in caring for newborns to 12 year olds.

Yes, providing support and caring for babies so mum can get some much needed sleep is an important part of our business.

This may include taking the baby for a walk or giving mum a helping hand at home.

The methods of relieving stress and providing peace of mind is unique for each family.

Yes, we accept calls and same day bookings from 4am.

Yes, we provide a prompt response to families needing urgent care for their children.


Rates

No, the Mayday Mummy fee structure is a flat hourly rate based on caring for a family.

If you have 4 children at home with gastro - the Carer will be very busy, but you won’t pay more.

No, whether you call at 4am or 4pm, the rates are the same.

No, we do not charge Agency, booking fees, nor any loading for early morning call outs.

We have a simple and transparent fee structure – an hourly rate with a 3 hour minimum.

Yes, bookings are based on availability and Weekend/Holiday Rates apply.

Other

Yes, all Mayday Mummy vehicles have full Comprehensive Insurance and Personal Injury Insurance (CTP).

Yes, however any booking more than 20 km from Gordon (but within Sydney metro) will incur a $50 Travel Fee.

Mayday Mummy will advise you an ETA, quite often we can arrive within minutes of your booking.

Sydney traffic is a contributing factor to our timely response.

Yes, payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Cash or Cheque.

Yes, it is registered with ASIC (ABN# 39 159 998 544).

All our staff have relevant Insurance.

Most importantly, all our carers are experienced mothers.

There are many skills that cannot be learnt at TAFE/childcare centres etc but come from being a mother 24/7.

Additionally, all our carers have First Aid Certificates (includes: CPR, Trauma and Medical Emergencies) and Working With Children Clearance.

The Mayday Mummy can stay as long as your family needs assistance to manage the emergency.

This maybe for just a few hours until a grandparent arrives to take over or a full day.
